(I just posted it in response to a thread, but thought I'd bring it on over if you guys remember this as fondly as I do.)

1. I just loved the Carol Burnett Show
when I was a kid! I've thought about buying the DVD out now, but then I'd be buying from "Time-Life" and the would really make me feel old!
Maybe it is because I'm a redhead.

8. There are lots of clips on YouTube, that new-fangled website, so you
can catch a few episodes and feel hip and with-it!

Redheads are special.

3. I was a bit young for her show but I love her in Annie.
She made the movie in my opinion. I saw it as a kid but recently my two litte girls (3 and 4)and I bought the DVD of Annie and I love all her parts in it. "Yes, Miss Hannigan!"

7. In a nutshell, in this bit she was Scarlett O'Hara, and Harvey Korman was Rhett
Butler. Scarlett gets word that Rhett is en route. She had nothing to wear, but noticed the drapery in the window on the stairway, yanked it down.

So Rhett comes in, and Scarlett descends the stairway wearing this ensemble. Rhett says 'what a beautiful dress' and Scarlett says 'oh, it's just something I saw hanging in the window.'

It was crying-from-laughing-so-hard funny.

5. I remember! Not that particular episode but the show
and I've heard about the episode. I remember one where she was having a bad day and trying to get a bottle of aspirin open and she couldn't get the child-proof cap going. She cut her finger, and tried to get a Band-Aid open. Remember those stupid red string opening for Band-Aids? She couldn't get that going either and started sobbing. Her husband came in and was going to unzip her jacket and give her a backrub but the zipper got stuck...

Anyway, yeah, I remember the show. Didn't the gentleman (Harvey Korman or something like that?) pass away recently?

6. Yeah - he did die recently. I loved it when they would all try so hard NOT
to laugh during a skit. They always cracked each other up.
