3. These people just wear me out
I really don't understand the intensity of dislike for Biden from some people and it is exhausting after a while.

5. When Joe was still running for president,
there were some posters who popped up everywhere Biden's name was mentioned and dissed him with the same old allegations. Oddly enough, I don't see those people around DU anymore. It was like a mission with some of them.

6. A couple of them are still here --
but they're not as vicious as they once were. They're probably looking at Joe through different lenses now -- not as an opponent to their candidate.

8. Yeah, I just saw one of them
but there were a few who seemed to only post in opposition to Joe and then disappeared. Kinda trollish if you ask me. They probably showed up at other sites as well.

7. regardless of the whole VP thing, I hear Biden influence in Obama's interview:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x159479

I was hoping he'd come out and say "as in the Biden-Lugar bill on aid to Pakistan" oh well.

9. Oh I'm quite sure the Biden has been an enormous
influence on Obama. Didn't Joe take him under his wing in the senate? Kind of a protege?

10. Yeah, but he can't really say that when he's trying to establish his bona fides.
AND -- I've noticed Joe has been an exemplary supporter for Obama. He's giving LOTS of credit to Obama and makes it sound almost as though Obama was fully involved in a lot of the issues/bills Joe has spearheaded. Really selfless and acting for the best interest of the Party.

11. So many people don't realize how "selfless"
Biden really is. They think he is all EGO all the time, but he knows how to step back from the limelight when called for.

12. While I like Grantcart, in general
I don't like some of the things he is posting about Joe. And I really don't think Tim Kaine will be VP. He has very little name recog outside of the VA area. I only know him because of my stint with the Clark campaign in 2003, I met Tim 2X, once at the VA delegates rally in January of 2004, and then in the summer at a Dem BBQ in Crozet when he was campaigning to replace Mark Warner. He's a nice guy, but not well known.

13. I'm thinking the same thing
I think Obama needs a VP with name recognition and few people know anything about Tim Kaine.

15. If Obama chooses a no-name recognition person,
Edited on Sun Jul-20-08 04:41 PM by gateley
that person will have to have a lot of pizzaz so he will GARNER name recognition. Schweitzer can bring that if given the opportunity (I recall an interview when the reporter asked what he said to the feds when told to comply with the National I.D. requirement -- "I told them to go to hell".) Don't know if Kaine has that chutzpah or not.

Hmm. Maybe a lot of the reason I like Schweitzer is because he's a no-bullshitter like someone else we all love and admire. :7

22. I like Schweitzer, but I heard
in an interview that there was no way he was leaving Montana. IF he can't take Big Sky Country with him, he ain't goin. Can't say as I blame him.

I like Grantcart, too -- just is one of those people who can't get past the bullshit about Joe and see him for who he really is.

21. Chuck Todd said today that we will know in 2 weeks.
That Obama most likely will announce before the Olympics, because the Dem convention is right after the Olympics and he'll want to do it while he gets the media's attention.

We will soon know :)
