Made me cry....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPev5sEdTjg

I believe a site www.obamajoe08.com will be up shortly, according to the guy who made this video.

I keep thinking about if Obama is President, what if something dreadful happens to him (god forbid), who would be the strongest to hold the country together? Joe.

1. I worry about Obama also. That would absolutely tear this country
apart. The good news is he does have FBI security (he is not only a candidate but also a U.S. senator).... Wow, ObamaBiden.

2. Wow, talk about an Ebony and Ivory ticket. Even though
Joe has said in the past that VP or SOS was out of the question, how could he not see how fabulous this team would be. The Obama folks I'm sure would love it. We do not know any of the "backroom" conversations that have taken place. We know nothing about certain "deals" and other compromises that go on between the candidates. Maybe this is one of the reasons Joe dropped out. Maybe there is something in the offing we know nothing about. Shall I get fitted for a new tinfoil hat or am I grasping at straws???

4. Do you think Biden would feel a responsibility
to the American people if Obama received the nomination? That somehow he should, if he were invited, accept the VP spot so he could use his experience to help lead? I know he's said he can do more through the Senate, but as VP he would be a direct advisor to the POTUS. And, with Obama's lack of experience especially on foreign policy he's going to need help. Just wondering...

5. Biden has been behind the scenes advising presidents
for a long time. Though he may be behind certain policies, he defers to the president and lets him take the credit. You can be sure that he will be very much involved in the next administration. He does not need a VP title for that.

Just like Bill Clinton, the next prez will be quick to call on Joe and probably very often.

6. Didn't Biden say in his concession speech that he would hold the new President to
their campaign promises?

lol...just for that one reason alone, I would love to see Edwards win.

Biden will be there for us, just as Kerry went back to the Senate as an even stronger voice.

Looking in the face of so many Americans has to have a profound impact on a person's soul - especially a caring soul like Joe.

7. Biden will be a blessing or a thorn in the next president's
side. He is no shrinking violet and he's not done yet.

8. I just was reading/posting on another thread and someone mentioned
-- how much of a voice do you really have when you sign on to be Number Two?

Good point -- I'm not sure we could get the REAL SCOOP from Joe because he'd be constrained somewhat by toeing the admin's line. Kind of like Cheney - who kept having to say he supported Bush's policy on gay marriage, even though we know he personally felt differently.

That would be my concern about Joe either being VP or SOS. On the other hand, we could sure use him as part of the next administration.

Wonder how HE feels about it?

9. great point about towing the administration's line
I just can't see him doing that. He'll continue to do great in the Senate, and keep the President in check.

10. If McCain is the Repub nominee
Then Biden may feel a responsibility to accept the VP spot if Obama is the Dem nominee, in order to ensure the Republicans don't win the WH.

Up against McCain, Obama is seriously going to need a strong VP on the ticket, or else the Dem party is toast imho.
