Damn! The cat knocked it off the side table. I loved that thing. One of those tall lamps that has a globular base and a lonnnnng neck and a tall shade. Heavy ceramic. Dark brown. I wonder how much those are fetching at thrift stores. I know the trendy retro shops are getting a pretty penny for that kind of stuff now.
And I don't think I've ever had a piece of pottery that wasn't knocked off its shelf. One day I realized that I used to keep hollering at Chester "Knock it off!" when he was wilding. And knock it off he did! Regularly.
