Wow, Columbia first in something good (for a change)
According to the last paragraph of this article, my city is actually going to be the first place to run trials of a new hydrogen-powered bus:

And if that wasn't enough to make me feel good, I managed to beat Marmar in posting an article from Mass Transit Mag here :P

1. I knew it! They're small, just like our hybrids.

The all-composite vehicle body is 34' 9" in length and seats 37 passengers.

Ours are quite a bit smaller than the buses they are replacing. Seeing as how we have the fourth-highest boarding rate per capita in the land, this is really not a good thing. Then again, I don't imagine this is nearly as big an issue in Columbia!

2. No, most of our buses are 35-footers anyway
We have a few 40-footers for the busiest routes.
