An accident last year left my leg an inch shorter and my knee useless.
I just got a real deal on a BMW K1100 LT but I can't hold it up.
Does anyone know where I can get a decent side car?

1. I've been wanting one for a while now.
If you're buying new then the Cozy sidecars are the least expensive. $500 for the universal attachment kit and $3000 for the car plus shipping. You may have to wait a few months for them to deliver since they order them from India.

Here's some youtube vids of one attached to a Triumph: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cozy+sidecar+triumph&aq=f

3. How bad is your leg?
If you add 200 lbs of sidecar to a 600 lb motorcycle (just guessing the weights), is your leg good enough to back that rig out of a parking spot, maybe uphill?

Maybe look for a traditional trike, or a Can-Am-style three-wheeler, something with a reverse gear. That would seem easier.

Who knows, maybe a trike owner is looking for a BMW K1100.

4. I rode the K bike 100 miles to get it home. I only dropped it when I tried to stop it on the grass
at home. I never back my back out. I always drive it out anyway.

5. Have you looked into one of these bolt on trike kits?

7. This guy's been in business in Fort Worth
for quite some time and has a good reputation in the local riding community. Just wondered if you might be interested.

Personally, I'm a Norton and BSA owner. Perry specialises in BMW and Enfields but can do it all.

Hint: Deal with Perry directly. His wife tends to haggle high on pricing ... LOL
