1. Only to those with a limited perspective, imho...
That he is able to keep his cool ALONE makes him look like a massive man to me. That he can continue to be a pragmatist whilst being pummeled with feces from all angles is nothing short of miraculous in my point of view.

7. Right, because any one of us could have manipulated and
Battered the party of no into submission. People need to dream on I suppose.

10. can you give me some direct quotes that you claim "bash the left"
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 11:48 AM by Bluerthanblue
I'm interested in how you define "bashing".

He spoke bluntly- but 'bashing the left'?

Maybe it's the "left" (which includes me) that needs to toughen up.

(spelling edit)

2. Being a tepid, fearful, poor negotiator is being a "bigger person"?

his approach would and should be admirable.

But we're not dealing with people who are negotiating in good faith. They've done nothing to give us any indication that they intend to, and Obama hasn't been asking for such an indication.

9. Yeah, he should be more like
George W Bush...

Obnoxious little Napoleon Complex turd who thought it would be neat for the US to have a dictatorship as long as HE got to be the dictator.

Model of Manhood

John Wayne on a tricycle ('cause he's too askeert of horses).

13. That's exactly what some people want...
Hypocritical BS I say. It was wrong when W did it, but Obama is bashed for not doing the same damn thing.

I heard a quote this morning, something that was said about LBJ. I'm going to try to find out who said it, because it's so fitting right now.

The President could walk across the Potomac, and the headlines the next day would say, "The President Can't Swim!"

12. Yep...
Let's all help the Repukes ruin us all, shall we?

That this clue isn't picked up is fairly distressing.

14. Honestly. I'm doing an experiment. NOT watching cable news or reading political blogs.

Basically, the same as 90% of our population. This doesn't make Obama look small. In fact, it doesn't even register.

15. I think that's a good move.
I've been largely out of the picture for the last few months since I went back to school. I think that DU collectively needs a break.

17. Wasn't voting for a "bigger" person. Was voting...
...on the basis of his rhetoric, which has now proven to be:

Speak loudly and carry a little stick.

You say tomato, I say to-ma-to
You say "bigger person," I say typical candidate who will say whatever he needs to say to get elected.
