Clinton & Obama...."Bunker Boys" ?
"Bunker Boys" is a pejorative term used to describe the cowardly behavior of certain types, usually field officers, during Vietnam. These individuals would cower inside reinforced bunkers while the bullets were flying and the mortars were dropping. AFTER the action was over, they would make an appearance prancing around the battlefield pretending to be brave heroes, posing for the cameras, and recommending themselves for medals. The grunts in the holes knew them for what they were.

Dodd, Kerry, and Feingold STOOD UP and fought DURING the battle.

Clinton and Obama hid behind their SILENCE during the real fighting. Hillary actually RAN from the question at a press conference on Wednesday.
Clinton & Obama stood up ONLY AFTER the battle was over.
They will now parade around showing off their "NO votes like a badge of courage, and some of their campfollowers will applaud them. But the grunts in the holes know the truth.

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

3. Thanks.
I am beyond anger (but not shocked) at the capitulation yesterday, and have nothing but contempt for those who ran from this battle....our supposed "Leaders".

If someone supports this type of leadership, then they deserve this type of leadership. Unfortunately, the rest of us will be stuck with it too.

All Hail Exxon and Wal-Mart! :patriot:

2. Hiding in the shadows before the vote, not saying a word.
Complete lack of leadership on the most important issue of the day.

I'm underwhelmed.

7. How so?
Am I misremembering the bunkerboys of Vietnam? We've all known people like that.

Did Obama or Clinton make any public statement BEFORE this bill was a done deal? Maybe I missed it.

Is there another explaination for their SILENCE while the battle was being fought by the real leaders of the Democratic Party?

Will Hillary still get her check from AIPAC for voting NO when it really didn't count and keeping her mouth shut during the fight?

Will Obama?

Please.
I would really like to be wrong here.

9. they specifically said they wouldn't announce what they'd "decided"
I was initially scoffing, then after the vote the hypothesis of a seesaw vote (once the results were in) was forwarded and passed the Ockham test--and, as PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES, they could've exhibited some of that necessary-for-Presidency "leadership thing" before the vote in debate...

8. Everyone is seeing through the no vote - I don't think they'll be able to parade anything from this.

11. "Everyone" being who, exactly.
I've literally heard the Republican pundits speculate in the past that the Democrats hate their own base and this was the exact reason why they said such a thing. Because their "base" is so diverse that they are constantly attacked by their own, *regardless* of what they do.

And so we wonder why they pander to the swing voters and independents. Well, I used to wonder. I think I'm starting to see why. I'm even starting to roll my eyes at their impossible-to-please base, and I'm in it!

12. HRC is playing this just right
and if she were in a poker game then when she goes all in then you can look back at this moment in time and say to yourself, WELL DAMN! What a move, what a move"....
If you all that support someone else and say she is a calculating bitch, then I can accept that becasue when you are going for the big prize you do not go all in at the beginning. You sit there and look over your opponents and look for their tells and then you through calculations either knock one or two off but then let the others knock a few off and in so doing they open themselves up for the big call....Is it a bluff? Does she have something better then I? And what happens, the others have to either hold em ot call....and there my friends is the calculating woman that will be the next PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.....
I do thank you
Ben David
