Willie Nelson Dodges Felony Charge
Willie Nelson, who was arrested last week in Texas for having pot on his bus, has been charged with misdemeanor possession. Nelson was originally charged with carrying six ounces, a felony with a maximum sentence of two years in prison plus a $10,000 fine, but the amount was knocked down to four ounces, which carries a maximum penalty of one year and $4,000. (This is according to NORML'S website; TMZ claims that Nelson cannot be jailed on the misdemeanor charge.)

1. I got popped with a quarter pound.
As my lawyer said "Four ounces? In South Austin that's considered personal stash"

Cost me $100 and 25 hours "community service"

9. Moral of this story: Don't get caught with pot UNLESS you're famous.
Otherwise, it can be an eight year long (so far) fuster-cluck.

Believe me, I know.

13. Willie Nelson can afford to pay someone to carry his pot in a separate vehicle.
In fact, he can probably afford a personal satellite to just drop pot on-demand from orbit.

22. It would be cowardly to hire others. What he should do is buy his own drone and fly it above him
Edited on Sun Dec-05-10 12:04 PM by glitch
wherever he goes, carrying the stash and unarmed of course. Better use for drones than their current role.

But really, we need to just quit feeding the WOD monster state.
