Hillary Clinton interview: who are the anti-war DEMS referred to that voted YEA yesterday?
Edited on Fri May-25-07 10:37 AM by RiverStone
Hillary Clinton was asked yesterday on CNN:

Q: Why did other anti-war Democrats vote for the bill?

A: "You'll have to ask each one because they certainly deserve to speak for themselves. I'm just speaking for myself. When I look at where we are, you know I've been in favor of redeploying our troops out of Iraq for more than two years. I've been trying to get the administration to change course and engage in what I believe would be more effective actions in Iraq and they haven't done it. You know at some point you don't want to keep going on with it."

I'm not sure what criteria one uses to separate "anti-war" DEMS from generic DEMS, but maybe those in the anti-war caucus or those that really identified with ending the war as part of their election platform?

Can some fine DUer please provide a list (or a good guess of a list) of which anti-war DEMS capitulated to Shrub yesterday?

4. Do you think there is a separate category for anti-war DEMS?
Thanks Jefferson for the roll call links - I think they need to be posted on the home page (Mods).

Yet I feel most betrayed by those DEMS who really worked to get our vote by promising: "No more blank checks for Shrub's war."

I want to write/call/email those folks in particular as abandoning the public's trust. I will NOT leave the DEM party, but I fear it may be leaving me.

So I wonder if among the DEMS that voted YEA, is there a separate tier of anti-war DEMS that voted YEA?
