3. Sorry, but I can't work up than kind of enthusiasm for the man
He and his education policies have had a large, direct and ongoing impact on my life. Because of the way he has handled education funding during this time of economic crisis, I'm out of a teaching job this year, and perhaps next.

Sorry, but somebody who takes away work from me is not a person that I'm thankful for.

17. We went through the same thing under Clinton, that being the devastation of specific
sectors. By targeting limited sectors we find that we have few, if any, allies. That makes it easy to ignore the pain & suffering, a la Rev. Niemöller. It really hurts to see people that should be supporting you giving the perpetrators a pass because "it could be worse and they haven't come after me yet", doesn't it?

5. Yep, I'm glad he's there to appoint judges
which is, imho, the single most important thing a President does.

7. Agreed. Can't say enough positive things. So often we get focused and

sidetracked and just echo popular criticisms. And in fact we must make out dissatisfactions known, but in the overall scheme of US presidents he is by far the best choice our country has made in a long time.

No one is perfect. We all make concessions. etc. etc. - but I am thankful to have him as president on this November 25, 2010.

Still waiting for him to live up to the expectations of that Nobel prize though.

I didn't actually expect an end to imperialism--that's a lot like trying to turn a supertanker around with an outboard motor.
