1. Whoa - he's dressing this vote down. Went to 3 funerals this week and the

parents want the senate to REDOUBLE their efforts to end this war.

BUT...the heart of this bill is the strategy of the war in Iraq."

"I am all for the money for Katrina victims. I am all for the money for the Veterans. I am all for the good things in this bill. We have a responsibility to our soldiers."

"Al Qaeda is using our presence in Iraq to recruit members."

"There's not ONE benchmark in this bill that can be achieved."
