TSA security has "kept us safe."
Shouldn't the TSA people be taking credit for "keeping us safe" all these years since 9/11? How can they have missed this central lesson of Bush/Cheney: People are damned stupid when it comes to security. If we're safe, then anyone who has done anything at all, no matter how crazy or mind-bogglingly foolish, can take credit. The Iraq War, the wiretapping, and the torture programs kept us safe. They weren't ruinously expensive, futile, "mock security" and political theater...not like everybody says.

It's hard to feel sorry for people who are bothered by the TSA screening processes, so I won't. Bush/Cheney and the Republicans' posturing, inept, and nasty security "mega-jerk-around" since 9/11 completely savaged the country, and where were the complaints and headlines? Plainly, Dems missed a big opportunity to nail Bush and Cheney over their misdeeds. We should have just said that warrant-less wiretapping causes people's calls to be dropped at a higher rate. We should have complained that the Iraq War raised the price of gas, that water-boarding used up too much water and reduced the King Crab population in Bristol Bay.

I'm not putting in sarcasm tags. They would spoil it.

7. I hate those things.
I like sarcasm and satire damned near believable. If you put in the sarcasm thing, people can't help but see it before they read the post. It spoils it. I'd rather have the flames and unrecs.

8. And furthermore, they've kept lions and tigers from roaming our neighborhoods.
After all, how many lions or tigers have you seen roaming your neighborhood? Proof that TSA is keeping us safe!
