Woman says her TSA screening was sexual assault: agent inserted her hands between my underwear...
Edited on Fri Nov-19-10 04:40 PM by avaistheone1
Business traveler, Penny Moroney, was flying home from St. Louis to Chicago. Like all other airline passengers, she had to go through security first. When the metal in her artificial knees set off the detectors, she had to undergo more screening. When Moroney asked if she could go through a body scanner, she was told none were available.

A pat down was the only alternative.

Moroney explains “Her gloved hands touched my breasts...went between them. Then she went into the top of my slacks, inserted her hands between my underwear and my skin... then put her hands up on outside of slacks, and patted my genitals.”

“I was shaking and crying when I left that room” Moroney says. “Under any other circumstance, if a person touched me like that without my permission, it would be considered criminal sexual assault.”

36. How about a petition to have Michelle Obama and kiddies go through .....
.....a TSA pat down while Mr. President watches. Wonder how fast that procedure would end. Unless of course Obama's getting a piece of the action from Chertof.

14. Wait a second.
A prison guard pats down prisoners who have no expectation of privacy. And honestly, back when I worked in a prison we had guards who could spot contraband (weapons / drugs / whatever) pretty much based on how the clothes looked and how a prisoner was walking or body language. And I NEVER saw anyone frisked like that unless it was called for. I.E there was a darned good reason to suspect something.

It seems to me that prison frisking is not what we want the public going through unless we are assuming guilt, which, in thinking of it, is exactly what the TSA is doing.

Here it is folks, the cornerstone of all democracy, known as the 4th amendment and also enshrined in every other democratic constituion and document including the magna carta, shredded in order to make a quick buck.

5. Here we go..
..this will not end well - unless this agency is disbanded (won't hold my breath on that happening).
This agency is counter to every ideal that Americans SHOULD hold dearly.
I read on CNN that 80% of American support this!! I dispute that number, but either way, these people do not deserve the freedoms that that have.
See how easy it is to slip off to fascism?

have to.

the two ont reconcile for me. it makes me wonder why they found no one to stand the ground. they could fine none that weent bothered on the one hand, but no one could be definite either. whatever the supposed poll was, it is not 80% comfortable with this.

38. i dont know how they feel. after busco election in 2004, i found myself
slowly isolating myself. now i am on about the shallowest interaction with my fellow texans, lol. i have pretty much isolated myself to all. i am curious. i will start asking people. doesnt feel so much txan as those that so willingly accomodate authority. either political party. i think there are more people that do that than people that can't do that. as i have seen in a lifetime, anyway.

advantages and disadvantages in both personalities.

10. The woman said that TSA
"Then she went into the top of my slacks, inserted her hands between my underwear and my skin..."

The top of slacks is not limited to the beltline.

And I am not glad she got any kind of crotch palpitation. Completely unjustified.

11. Chertoff's security corporation is thrilled.
"Moroney said she wishes there were full body scanners everywhere so that she could have avoided a pat down."

"...The government is currently adding more body scanners at airports across the country."

Mission Accomplished.

Michael Chertoff, Former Department of Homeland Security, is the head of the Chertoff Group, the lead cheerleader for what is being called the Full Body Scanner Lobby, reports the Washington Post and the Washington Examiner.

Ever since the Christmas Day Bomb Scare, Chertoff has been making the rounds championing the Full Body Scanners as a way to detect hidden explosive devices.

and porn pictures. It's strictly ships, trains, busses and cars for me from now on. Slower but I get to keep my dignity.

I have a latex allergy, I wonder if they do pat downs with latex free gloves?

We all have "choices"...........

26. It is the dominant "logic" of this society. Trap people with no real options, then say "It is
your choice".

This is done to poor people ALL the time. As you go further up the ladder, it happens less frequently, but it is still always in the background.

The REAL choices are only for those with plenty of $$$.

Its not something that most of us want to look at.
