Care to ask what your LOCAL cops do regularly while going on patrol? They are looking for things and people that don't belong and that are acting nervous.

So their security has a questionnaire that they ask from people before they fly. They're establishing that you belong there.

This goes on regularly in the inner cities and even white areas of town in the US. It is not ok. and at times leads to legal cases, but most of the time, they don't break any laws, and nobody is harassed much. Actually our cops harass people in the inner city far more than Ben Gurion Security People do most of the time.

Do they use profiles? Yes, so do we...

The difference is that this is now affecting middle america...

Oh and these things they're doing at the Airport are NOT terry stop patdowns.

Now why hasn't any of this done in American Airports? COST... and WHO BENEFITS? Trust me it is not the regular traveller, which is also something else that is happening. Ten years ago none of you would accept this... think about this, none of you would...

I used to work in Houston's oil patch. There were two women I worked with from Iran. I remember going to lunch with them in a group fairly regularly. The mall was a good seven blocks away. Invariably, these women would stop along the way to give alms to the homeless. Not just sometimes. Every time. They would smile at them, make eye contact, and hold their hand when they gave them some money.

Whenever I saw them do this, I thought to myself: This is the real spirit of Islam. It always put a knot in my throat.

After the reformation, and especially the English Civil War, efforts to badge the poor and make sure they deserved the help (no help for able bodies, shiftless lazy young men) were implemented.
