So Mitch the chinless and Boehner postponed the President's
meeting for November 18th - do these RW fuckers understand anything related to protocol.
This is beyond rude.

1. SOP for these SOBS, unfortunately
Joe Wilson's "You Lie" was only the tip of the iceberg in terms of how much these guys "respect" our President. :puke:

I'm afraid that it's only going to get worse from here on out as the Republican Tea Party seems to think that they've pulled off some major coup and have lots of "political capital" to spend. :eyes:

4. They are trying to run the clock out ...
For the love of CHRIST, I don't understand why the friggen spineless Ds did not put up a bill BEFORE the election pushing for an extension on the lower 98 percent ...

Just uncomprehensible ...

BUT, the Rs now are desperately trying to run the clock out to have the Ds not have a vote before they take over in January ...

They WILL, the first fricken second Boehner has the gavel, the WILL put up a bill that has the upper tax cuts made permanent, and if the Ds did not have a bill on the lower 98 tax cuts put up in this last session, they will FOREVER pin ALL of the tax "increases" on the Ds ...

I want to just smash things off my wall with the Ds not using a situation they had the high ground on to their advantage offensively ... Now, SOMEHOW, they have to do it for defensive reasons, and are trying to find reasons to not do it ...

Just fricken surreal ...

Edited on Wed Nov-17-10 07:32 AM by pgodbold
civilized world already knows, this meeting was for show and would accomplish nothing. I say kudos to the republicans for cancelling this farce. Only a fool could believe this meeting would accomplish anything. Perhaps this will assist our very intelligent president to snap out of his bipartisan induced coma and see the political landscape as it really is. Oh never mind. Thanks anyway republicans. You tried to snap him out of it but as we all know, obama will reschedule.

11. The president is awfully busy and should cancel the offer.
He is now free to say that their playing golf (or whatever) was apparently considered more important than the urgent matters he wanted to discuss.

14. Means They Don't Have Their Shit Together
I'll bet Boner was all stiffy in the thoughts of walking into the Oval office and putting President Obama "in his place". The GOTB bravado since the election is beyond sickening...and seems to have no limits at the present time. The postponment could point to two things. Either they're got a lot of "chutzpah" and want to leave the President hanging while they whip up more media hysterics about raising taxes and "socialism".

Or...there's trouble in River City...the GOTB is split and can't figure if it wants to play ball or obstruct. I'm betting there are those who want to wheel and deal on the tax cuts for the middle class but the teabaggers are against it. The clock continues to run...the cuts expire in a month and a few days and if there's not a deal now, don't look for one afterwards. Just as it was difficult for Democrats to move anything the past 4 years, it's not going to be any easier for the GOTB. So expect the rushpublican noise machine to crank up full for the next two weeks while they attempt to bully Obama and other Democrats to go along with keeping the cuts to the rich going after 12/31.

:hi:

16. Have you noticed the spin that they didn't lose the Senate elections
because the Democratic Party would have lost if they had better candidates. Their candidates lost.
I detest these morons.

18. Gotta Give 'Em Props For Spinning Shit...
When Democrats won we were told not to gloat...behave and act like adults. The GOTB wins and they're all full of themselves. No matter what the issue is they'll tell you that the voters "overwhelmingly" voted for whatever crap they're trying to peddle. Of course the corporate media doesn't dare to fact check or ask anything but softball questions and are all caught up with the "change".

Sadly after January I expect the corporate media to blame all that doesn't get done on the Democrats...cause they didn't capitulate totally. And, of course we know what will follow. It's gonna be a rough two years...
