OK I know the target audience is non-elitists aka, stupid freeper types but who the hell would believe that kid is going to try to sneak upstairs in front of a camera crew! SO FAKE!! Mama Grizzly not only pimping out her cubs but their friends as well. Lovely!

There is some lovely wildlife scenery and some great shots of bears standing off against each other, but we all know the focus of this show is Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. It's right there in the title of the show - it could have been called In Alaska with Sarah Palin, but instead, it's Sarah Palin's Alaska. First things first!

I watched the atrocious Gawker clips.

Here is what you would script if you wanted to convey that she had a strong long standing rule against boys upstairs and ( girls in Track's room) and that both her kids and friends respected her.

Have Willow and Andy working on a homework project together at the table. Have Willow say something about getting some materials from her room. Have Andy start to follow her and have her politely say that she would get everything and that the family had rule against the kids bringing opposite sex friends to their rooms. Andy sits back down - returns to reading documents. Willow returns with poster board and markers. Sarah comes in from her computer station and compliments them on the work they were doing and asks if they would like some tea.

Yes I know it is boring - but what did happen simply doesn't work. Ignoring that it was soemhow filmed so either they had a covert way to do that or everyone in the room knew it was filmed. Why did Willow petulantly leave Andy to sit downstairs? Why was Sarah so weird when she told Andy that he couldn't go upstairs (she was vaguely flirting)? Why did Willow clearly expect Andy to sneak up? Why did he feel comfortable doing so.

To me, it does not seem that Willow or Andy respect Sarah or her ability to set rules. is there any doubt where they will be when neither Todd or Sarah are there. (Sarah is clearly not in Alaska most of the time.)

With the kid just sitting there forever, I mean if Willow DID leave him alone to go upstairs I think the mom would be chatting with him and boring him to death....and if he wanted to be alone with her he would text her and tell her to meet up outside the cameras....rather than go upstairs in front of the cameras.

it just makes no sense rather than they wanted to make this point that she's a hands-on parent who keeps an eye on things, but the did it in the clumsiest and most awkward way possible...I LOLd at that scene!
