1. Makes one wonder! Is this activity out of the ordinary for Yemen?

I am ignorant of these things but I do know that earthquakes happen with regularly but is the number 9-10 the strength of these earthquakes? Sorry for my ignorance.

magnitude is the number on the left, and it seems to range between 4.5 and 5.4.

I just happen to keep an eye on that site and check it a couple times a day ... for whatever reason, and this swarm of quakes seemed quite out of the ordinary for that area. Nothing big, but the frequency is what I found interesting.

You can go to the site I linked and check places, times strength etc. for the past seven days.

2. Ever Hear Of The Great Rift Valley???

Runs through most of East Africa and into the Red Sea...similar to the San Andreas fault and more active.

If anyone has declared war, it's been Mother Nature...and she's been doing it for millenium in that region.

6. Mother Nature

is the first entity that came to mind, actually, and she seems to be getting angrier (not that I blame her). But like I said, I've been watching USGS for years on a daily basis and have never seen this much earthquake activity in that specific area. Obviously I wouldn't have posted it otherwise.
