Watching Monica Goodling on C-SPAN... My Gawd, she's a total Valley Girl!
She sort of chirps when she talks, really fast, and sounds like she's about 19.

1. I had this inescapable feeling that...
At any moment, the phrase "Gag me with a spoo-oon!" was going to come out of her mouth.

2. She and Elizabeth Hasselback...both willfully ignorant twits. Same kind of "Aryan" look to them.
What is it about the Repukes and their fascination with really stupid blonde women?

16. Lets be honest, those kind of women appeal to far too many men and even some women,
sad as that truth is, it's entertainment, I believe the fact that they said American Idol is the number one show in our country speaks volumes about the audience they are attempting to get to listen to them, boggles the mind but there it is and many of them are rich and influential believe it or not.

She's probably one of the few around who knows what the words from "Crew Slut" really mean. ;-)

10. Is her voice the "choked" voice that a DU member often complains
about?

If it is, then I completely agree with said DU member (I can't remember who it is that complains about it, but she's right whomever she is).

30. Yeah, the woman that does "Lois" from Family Guy talks from the back of her throat.
I saw her on KO's show talking to Keith when he was a character on Family Guy a couple of Sundays ago. When the lady talked normally, she looked normal, but when she did Lois, she showed more of her teeth and looked like she was swallowing her voice to be a whiny Muffy.

14. Forget HOW she said it; I was more taken aback with WHAT she said
- She said that she became very uncomfortable during a meeting with Alberto Gonzales, when he seemed to be trying to get both of them to share their recollections of the events surrounding the attorney purge. (Almost as if he wanted both of them to get their stories straight, so to speak). Never mind that he lied to the Senate Judiciary Committee and told them he had been trying to steer clear of aides who might be called to testify!

- And of course, there was Monica Goodling's admission that she considered the party affiliations of people under consideration for career prosecutor jobs.

She does, however, stand a good chance at finding a position at FUX Snooze.

19. Yeah--but, c'mon! She got to hire U.S. Attorneys! That's a valley girl first!
She came across as very young and inexperienced to me today. (And I actually felt sorry for her for a moment until I remembered her ideology and then I became numb.) She's a tool who will soon realize that's she's been used BIG TIME. If jail becomes a concern, I'm sure her squeaky little "innocent" voice will disclose many more illegal actions! Why can't these "Christians" in this administration be honest (isn't lying a sin???) before they have to testify under oath? Come on, did she honestly believe that hiring of "like-minded" morons--i.e. BushBots (vetted, of course, by the Bush idiots!) was legal!

I am so sick of the "I didn't know..." excuse. She's a law school graduate--for god's sake. Okay, I know it's a pathetic law school, but, come on. She presented herself as smart today. My question is, why isn't she smart? She never figured anything out enough to save her own skin. Too bad for her I guess.

I'm watching to see what happens....
And, I won't accept forgiveness for her. She screwed A lot of people, she does deserve to fry!

I know I crossed the line but I didn't mean to." Then she wouldn't say if she believed that what she did was illegal or not.

24. Did anyone ask her how much time she spent preparing for her
appearance before the Committee? We always do that with opposing witnesses. Did you review materials? What? Who did you receive them from, etc. Remember how Gonzo spent days preparing before his appearances? Well, Monica did, too. The whole thing is a scripted appearance. She has practiced everything. She may have watched videos of herself so she could see how she looks when she is responding to questions.
The goal today--turn the fickle finger of fate back on one of the other staff underlings--turns out McNulty had to take the hit. The method--look like every mom and pop's law girl, with the emphasis on young, not that well-trained, because that draws out the enabler in all of us.
