http://www.massaflcio.org/node/193667Months of hard work by union members on behalf of pro-worker candidates paid off on Tuesday, November 2nd as Labor-endorsed candidates were the overwhelming victors in the Massachusetts state election. In a year when the national story line following the Election was about Tea Party conservatives capitalizing on voter anger and frustration, Massachusetts voters proved that they will not be fooled by the angry rhetoric of those who caused this crisis, and instead elected candidates to office who will continue to fix our economy.
The Massachusetts AFL-CIO endorsed 63 federal and state candidates for elected office. More than three quarters – 49 out of 63 – candidates won election. All sitting U.S. Representatives were endorsed by the Massachusetts AFL-CIO and won re-election.
