Pelosi will not likely sign something that does not have a timetable
Pelosi: ‘I’m Not Likely To Vote For Something That Doesn’t Have A Timetable’

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) confirmed at a press conference late this afternoon that she does not intend to vote for the Iraq deal reached today by the White House and Congress. “I’m not likely to vote for something that doesn’t have a timetable or a goal,” she said, while still praising the deal as “a recognition by the administration that a new direction was called for by the American people.”

Later, House Appropriations Chairman David Obey (D-WI) insisted that “we intend to continue that fight” for an Iraq timeline “on every vehicle available to us,” adding that the “first two vehicles that we expect to join the issue on are the defense appropriations bill in July and the defense supplemental appropriations bill in September.”

3. I am one who played right into their
hands. After doing some "checking" today, you're right, it's far from over.

I should know better:spank:

10. Outrage Over The Report Of These Proposals, Ma'am
Edited on Wed May-23-07 04:18 PM by The Magistrate
Probably is of some use, this time. It would be better were this whole thing still-born, or strangled in the cradle. But we do not yet know what the actual deliberations were, what the real fractures in the caucus consist of, or what the plans for future action are.

But the leadership needs to know in no uncertain terms that we expect them to fight, and keep on fighting.

2. Wrong. Pelosi is having her cake and eating it too
She is saying she won't vote yes to please those lefty anti-war people.
But she will make sure the bill gets on the calendar and gets through the voting process.

She is just trying to muddy the waters because her voice mail is full of angry messages.

4. Do you really think she is "enjoying" this?

I like her and I will continue to give her the benefit of the doubt until all doubt is removed.

7. She has a huge fight on her hands, that's for sure.
I want her to do well. And will likely be protesting this weekend at her offices.

I hope this ends well.

5. Step down, Madame Squeaker.
CNN Blitzer just reported that Dems are fighting Dems over this war funding without a timetable.

Way to go, Madame Squeaker. You made all the Democrats look weak and spineless with your playing footsie with your boy.

14. Why? Because Pelosi insulted the voters yesterday that want a
prompt timetable for exit from Iraq. That is why along with nine more troops dying in Iraq, now up to 81 this month. There is no greater insult than death for BushLies.
