Before we can say the election means going left or right we have to understand
that the repubs were elected because people believed in the lies they were told. So we can't say they voted for right or left since there was nothing of substance behind what they voted for. It makes no sense to say the country believes in a laundry list of liberal ideals or a laundry list of conservative ideals.

They want the economy fixed, they want education for their kids, the want the debt reduced, they want Social Security and Medicare to be there when their time comes to use it, they want jobs to return, they want affordable housing, the want immigration reform, they want the American dream available to themselves and their kids, they want to feel safe from terrorism and a bunch of other things.

The repubs promise those things but are lying because they have no real desire to make them happen. We promise those things but we can't make people believe us, we don't control the message.

We are in a class struggle and we need to learn how to get the truth out to the voters. I don't know how just yet but that is our job for the next two years.

I am purposely avoiding the single issue voters here.

At http://normangoldman.com/ he talks about this. His idea is to raise money starting now to buy ads that carry our message for the next two years.
