Goodling broke down over attorney firings
Source: MSNBC/AP

Monica Goodling, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' former White House liaison, broke down in tears in a colleague's office as a furor rose about her department's firings of eight federal prosecutors, according to interview excerpts released Tuesday.

"'All I ever wanted to do was serve this president and this administration and this department,'" Goodling said during a March 8 conversation, according to Associate Deputy Attorney General David Margolis.

Margolis told House and Senate investigators of the conversation during a private meeting earlier this month.

During the 30- to 45-minute encounter, Goodling proceeded "to bawl her eyes out" and repeat the phrase, Margolis said.

1. All she ever wanted to do
was to "serve this president and this administration and this department".

Too bad you forgot about the citizens of this country you were supposed to be serving.

Have a good cry, Monica.

4. First thing that jumped out at me
No mention at all of serving her country. Only King *.

Of course she's crying. She got caught. They're all sorry when they get caught. Then they "accept responsibility", which means absolute jack shit, and then "let's move on".

3. Ah what a shame
The sweet little college graduate christian who was out to change the world for christ with her law degree was serving the president when she joined in the firing of good men. Was that what a christian would do Monica fire good men? Was that what Jesus would have done? Gosh it must really suck when christians like you are exposed for the incompetent buffoons that you are. limbaugh can't hold a job down unless he is hating and you have to promise to be loyal to a criminal to get a job. Gosh, that must really suck. A tear is forming at the corner of my eye.

6. Monica: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Would Jesus tell lies to the American public and their elected representatives in order to cover up republicon malfeasance and criminality?

9. Uh, dearie, your job was to serve the COUNTRY first, the POTUS second
And if your pretty little hands are dirty after your fucked-up priorities came to light, it's your own goddamn fault.

Your law degree's a joke, your credibility's a joke. You had a chance to maybe do the right thing and put a stop to this, and you blew it.

10. There's no crying in hateball!
This world domination stuff isn't for lily-livers; if you're going to subvert the judicial system to destroy opposition, someone might just fight back. There's been no resistance for six years now and the young-uns like her who came forth from their reactionary fundamentalist educations can't bear having their culpability exposed. She's much like the security traders who came up in the early nineties: they were shocked to the quick to find out that sometimes the market goes down.

12. Maybe if she went to a law school that taught law instead of the bible
she would be able to tell the difference between legal and illegal.

13. So - she never expected to be caught or have to pay the piper
People in this administration were so indoctrinated into the fact that THEY were the ones, they never figured that their illegal immoral actions would ever be exposed. Thank the Lord, the same one they lie about, saw fit to expose them to this country.

14. What a surprise to a good little girl like Goodling
that her boss was a historically criminal follower of Satan just lying about the Jesus thing to get idiots like her to serve them.

Oh wait. Do you think she knows that yet?

After watching Goodling today I believe this even stronger.
