Karma sent our way.

As usual you can be the best Motor cycle rider but one red light runner will fix all of that!

Thank you for all the good vibes!

2. I am so sorry...
let's hope he beat the cager (I'm a rider too, when the back is working properly). As a parent that's our worst fear but I hope things turn out positively for all of you.

5. I hope he's okay.
My brother rides a motorcycle, and it's things like this that scare the crap out of me. I seem to have had nothing but bad Karma for the past few years, so I'll send your son my best wishes instead.

6. Good vibes coming your way from a motorcycle rider since 1961.
Sometimes they don't see us, other times they simply don't care.

Take care.

Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 08:10 AM by canoeist52
He was 21 with his first bike.

Compression fractures in his back and a broken arm. He knows he was lucky and keeps his plastic brace where he can see it in case he thinks he wants another bike.

17. Definitely!
Just got back from taking my daughter to middle school. It's crazy out there because it's raining. One lady couldn't wait in the turn lane with the rest of us so she got in the oncoming traffic and stayed there.

Hope your son is OK. Breathe.

23. Looks like a slow reovery but so far he has just broken bones and punctured lung.
Surgery in two hours to set leg fracture. Spent the night in ICU he is dealing with the pain and restrictions, no food or eve water to drink.

My big complaint right now is accident at 9AM I did not get call until 5:30 PM!

Still have no official report other than knowing where the bike was towed to no police report or even case number only the LAFD paramedic report. Does anyone know where to find the police accident log, LAPD, or where accidents are reported on the web.

And once again thanks for all the good vibes.

I'm so glad to hear he's okay (in a sense). You never want to hear one of your loved ones has been in a motorcycle accident. So many people just don't see them.

26. My thoughts and empathy are with you.
My husband nearly lost his leg in exactly the same way. He's mostly OK now, but I know exactly what you're going through. I hope your son recovers quickly and will ride again. Yes, you will have much gray hair over it, but if it makes him happy...

Peace and healing.

36. Thoughts, prayers and good karma heading your way.
As a life-long biker, I can attest to the inattention paid by car drivers and bikers alike - and it only takes a second. I have a heartfelt feeling that he'll be fine, and my biker's intuition is usually right on - northofdenali spousal unit feels the same way.

Be careful, be watchful, and keep both wheels on the ground.:hug::hug::hug::hug:

41. Update for all
2d Night in ICU he had 5 hour surgery today just to repair the 16 fractures in his right leg! Dr said he should be able to walk again in 6 months. It is going to be a long road to recovery! Hopefully he can get back to work on his CGI computer in a month or so since it is his brain that does the most work for his Studio!

Thanks to all the good vibes directed his way!
