Things that HAVE to happen for this party to recover
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 12:58 AM by Ken Burch
1)The dumping of Tim Kaine-ASAP!!!!!!!

2)Strong progressives as Senate Majority leader and House Minority leader.

3)A massive apology to the base and the return of populist progressive passion.

4)NO recruiting of Blue Dog candidates by the DCCC/DSCC.

5)A signed contract requiring ALL Democratic Senate candidates to commit to backing the party on all procedural votes if elected.

6)Absolute Senate Dem/House Minority Dem opposition to all bills passed by the Boehnerhaus.

7)A national movement to abolish electronic voting machines.

Agreed?

5. agree with all but 5 and 6....
I mean, come on. Is that really the country you want to live in? Where opposing political parties are so at odds that the primary purpose of each is to obstruct the other? That is the way to civil war. Perhaps that's where we're headed, in the end, but let's not wish for it.

3 billion went to teevee ads.

That's not democracy. That's a fire sale.

11. It's too bad they'll do exactly the opposite of everything you've proposed
(which is absolutely correct, of course) starting with Obama and Co.
