re: Russ Feingold - My son's first job in DC
My son's first job in DC was in Feingold's Senate office. Among other duties, he attended and wrote staff reports on the meetings of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Next month, my son will be sworn in as a United States Foreign Service Officer. For part of his career, he will be representing our country in the Middle East - something he set as a goal several years ago, when working for Russ helped to inspire him to study Arabic and learn more about the Middle East.

I am so incredibly proud of my son, and so ashamed of the voters in my state.

Russ has provided inspiration for many, many young people. I am just devastated that our country is turning its back on people of such integrity and strength of character.

2. WOW!
You should be very proud of your son. What a wonderful person to be able to learn from.
I too am saddened by the stupidity of people in this country.

3. Proud and petrified
I am petrified by the damage that has been done to so many of our relationships around the world. I want people like my son representing our country. He is thoughtful and reasonable. I just don't like worrying about him so much! But we can't hope for positive change if we continue to let the extremists speak for us.
