A little election news from Alaska

Actually this is from Juneau Alaska which, historically has always leaned Democratic. Heard on the news this morning that early votes cast were almost eighteen thousand and in 2006 the number was eight thousand. More than thirty thousand absentee ballots were mailed out, however only sixteen thousand have been received back so far...They are saying this looks like a record turnout for a mid term election. What we have been saying here is if there is a good turnout Democrats should do better...I sure hope that is true because it looks like Alaska (Juneau anyway) is about to set a record for turnout...We had a municiple election a few weeks back (school board, assembly members, etc) and that also was a record turnout...:thumbsup:
