3. Mediocre and shallow, but fills a couple demographics. A D-Lister.
She appeared seemingly out of nowhere when Obama emerged from the pack.

4. She's an attractive, non-threatening-looking woman of color
As a dem she would be one-of-many..nothing-special, but when she chose to align with righties, she became a media-darling they could shove to the front whenever they wanted to appear to be reasonable & non-racist..

It's the way she makes her living.. shills are well-paid and her job has security too, because the righties will always need people like her.

6. Pleasant to look at
but other than that nothing there

That's an example of why I don't bother to watch cable for any substantive news any longer, other than KO and Rachel.

7. The most secure job in America is Black Professional Right-Winger
If I ever meet one face-face I'll ask if the huge amount of money makes up for the self-loathing.

12. 'independent' is party affiliation, not ideology.

being an independent does not mean one cannot be a conservative.

what a shrew that one was.

And yes, Ms Bernard keeps some pretty shady company.
