Insurance and the corrupting influence of profit motives
Besides health care insurance what other insurance-covered risks could be better handled through not-for-profit government programs?

Homeowners insurance seems a reasonable candidate for discussion. Everybody needs a home and mortgage companies won't write a note without it. There is already a government flood insurance program, why not HOI?

Auto insurance, maybe not as much a need as food, shelter, clothing and health but it is pretty important in modern society.

What say you?

1. "COVERALL" insurance is the progressive idea
Even covers crime victims, as in mugging victims

Would be automatically prepaid for all.
Ends reading long policies, expense, tricks, etc.

Long overdue.

2. MOST things in life would be better-served by the non-profit methodology
but the rich folks in charge would never allow that.
