Conservative "thinking" is relentlessly concrete rather than abstract, and is easily overwhelmed by emotion, especially fear and hate. Their penchant for simple-minded black-and-white thinking renders them incapable of appreciating, or even recognizing, satire or irony. Their idea of "wit and humor" is kicking someone when they're down or making fun of a minority member. These are defective humans.
