I have been receiving messages saying there is HUGE SURGE in favor of Dems...etc.
One of the emails said that there is a shocker in the making...All three mentioned that independents are breaking for the Dems, BIG TIME!

Is this crap trying to get me to donate? or is there truth to it?

Does anyone here know?

1. From where are you getting these messages?

At this point, the best thing you can do to help sway the elections towards the Democratic party is to either phone bank or get out on foot and knock on doors.

EDIT ADD: Ah, I see that the DCCC is sending such an email. Well, good for them. However, I stand by what I said. At this point, it's all about GOTV and that involves good old-fashioned elbow grease.

3. The emails make the same point you are making:
Give us some money so that we cna really take advantage of the surge...etc.

Emails came from DCCC and the likes.

5. You don't have to give money to the DCCC in order to help GOTV
Look up your state Democratic party site or go to the OFA site and take advantage of the tools. You don't even have to leave your house. You can phone bank from the comfort of your living room.

2. No, it's true that there's late polling showing independents breaking for the Dems.
Also the Dems are performing well in early voting.

6. It could be the GOP trying to suppress that harried democratic vote that takes place
at the end of the day tuesday, after a long day of work, requiring a sitter for the kids, that the GOP love to suppress. Those dems are only going to vote in large numbers if they think their vote is absolutely necessary.

7. I got those emails as well
and sent 15 bucks each to the DCCC and DSCC just to feel like I'm doing something. Now, the Gallup generic poll comes out and it looks like it's going to be a bloodbath. I used the OFA calling tool today for three hours and it's very good, sent GOTV emails to a number of Dem supporting groups, and plan to call again tomorrow for at least three hours.

All I can say is I hope the polls are wrong, but I'd guess they are probably pretty accurate. Still, don't anyone go down without a fight.

9. I got a phone call tonight asking me if I was going to vote for
my republican choice or democratic choice for state representative. I told them I will vote for the democrat because of the filthy attack campaign the republican ran. CLICK! lol

11. The last call I got like that I said I would not vote for Republican with a gun held to my head
That sure shortened the conversation and they have not called back.

Last week, I was getting robo-calls from Karl Rove and Mike Huckabee. The most recent call was yesterday and was basically an attack ad against Crist. I am thrilled that the Republicans are spending their money attacking Crist. That much less chance he will return to the Republican party even if he is elected.
