CNN "Republican Party isn't going to compromise"
In an interview with Michael Steele the Chairman of the Republican National Committee he says they are not going to compromise. The announcer for CNN says it's a philosophy for "gridlock."

Gridlock serves Big Business because it lets them keep doing the things they've been doing to drive up profits, while creating an underpaid working class worldwide.

Republicans and their Big Business allies don't care what happens to America. All they care about is preserving Bush tax cuts for the ultra-rich.

4. Don't worry
Of course there will be comprise----WE will compromise and beg the Repukes to please spit on us and can we wash their car, and......you know the drill. Like I said in another post. We retain the Senate and they will have the house by about 20 votes (remember right now we have 77 more votes than they do). If Obama starts acting like that is a mandate, then I'm afraid he will have to be asking repubs for 2012 support.......fool me once......

5. Of course they won't.
And anyone who thinks they would is either naive, or not paying attention.

6. Reid says that he is going to do away with the filibuster
if he looses and I don't think he will, the next speaker of the senate will be a Democrat and I think they will also. I think a majority of votes SHOULD rule the day. And I think the Democrats should stick it to the republicans. They now see that by not doing so it is causing all these problems. If from the very beginning they would have done after with the filibuster and the 60 vote they would have gotten more done. They would have been able to show more readily that the republicans were trying to stop progress and ruin everything. Maybe it won't be too late now. I hope so. I hope the kick republican ass all the way to the trashcan.

8. +1
The 'cons have always wanted up and down votes; give it to them.

Run your mouth until you get tired and then vote.

7. Why would I expect them to compromise? They haven't
yet, with the exception of the 2 Maine senators and Scott Brown on occasion.

9. Why should they? They get what they want by NOT compromising.
Unlike the politicians in another party who are all too eager to "compromise".
