Call on ABC News to drop Andrew Breitbart
Call on ABC News to drop Andrew Breitbart

http://colorofchange.org/abc/

Andrew Breitbart is a liar and race-baiter with a long history of pushing false stories to achieve his political ends. He was most recently exposed as a fraud after promoting selectively-edited video in an attempt to paint the USDA's Shirley Sherrod as a racist, smear the NAACP, and accuse the Obama administration of reverse racism.

For some reason, ABC News invited Breitbart to participate in their Election Day programming. It's a slap in the face to Shirley Sherrod, to Black America, and to everyone who believes in the value of telling the truth. Please join us in calling on ABC to drop Breitbart from their Election Day programming, now.

2. Since they won't...

Er I mean if they don't, then JUST DON'T WATCH ABC coverage. Email or call and tell them why. Maybe they'll rethink correspondents in 2012 coverage if they finish dead last in viewership this year.
edited for atrocious typing.

ABC says breitbart will appear only online -- not in its broadcast coverage---after heavy criticism

This afternoon, following heavy criticism -- including from within ABC's own newsroom -- ABC released a statement from Andrew Morse, executive producer for ABC News Digital. According to Morse, "Breitbart will not be a part of the ABC News broadcast coverage" and will instead be "participating in an online-only discussion and debate to be moderated by David Muir and Facebook's Randi Zuckerberg on ABCNews.com and Facebook":

http://mediamatters.org/blog/201010300014

-----------------------

After facing a barrage of criticism for inviting conservative Andrew Breitbart to participate in election night activities, ABC News is now trying to put some space between themselves and the controversial activist.

Mr. Breitbart is not an ABC News analyst.

He is not an ABC News consultant.

He is not, in any way, affiliated with ABC News.

He is not being paid by ABC News.

He has not been asked to analyze the results of the election for ABC News.

Mr. Breitbart will not be a part of the ABC News broadcast coverage, anchored by Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos. For the broadcast coverage, David Muir and Facebook's Randi Zuckerberg will contribute reaction and response gathered from the students and faculty of Arizona State University at an ABC News/Facebook town hall.

He has been invited as one of several guests, from a variety of different political persuasions, to engage with a live, studio audience that will be closely following the election results and participating in an online-only discussion and debate to be moderated by David Muir and Facebook's Randi Zuckerberg on ABCNews.com and Facebook. We will have other guests, as well as a live studio audience and a large audience on ABCNews.com and Facebook, who can question the guests and the audience's opinions.

17. what do you want to bet that he was SUPPOSED to be part of tv
coverage. I think ABC has really stepped in it and they are scraping the crap off their shoes as quickly as they can. Idiots.

I know, I know... they OWN the FCC.

But it feels good to pretend.

So leave me alone.
