We're going to vote 'early' this week. We want to be part of the Democratic wave in my state.
My wife and I are going to vote early this week to provide some visible momentum for Maryland Democrats. A report today indicated that Democrats were leading the early vote here:

Baltimore Sun - More Democratic voters hit the polls early than Republicans

Democrats are taking advantage of early voting in greater proportion than Republicans, the (Maryland) state elections board reports, suggesting that the party in power is turning out its base more effectively.

In the first three days of early voting, registered Democrats, who make up 56 percent of the Maryland electorate, cast 63 percent of the ballots, according to elections board. Republicans, who make up 26 percent of the electorate, cast 27 percent of the ballots.

____ Maryland's Democratic and Republican parties poured millions into sophisticated early voting plans this year. Both sides are staffing call centers with volunteers who use computerized auto-dialing systems to let voters know they can cast their ballots now.

____ The figures so far show high turnout in areas the gubernatorial campaigns have been targeting all fall: In heavily Democratic Prince George's County nearly 16,000 voted in the first three days of the program. Vote totals also broke 10,000 in the battleground counties of Baltimore and Montgomery.

4. I'm always straight Democrat
It's usually not a hard choice where I live in my state. I can imagine it gets harder where Democrats (and voters) are more conservative.

2. I'm not going to vote early. I have in the past, but I miss the experience of election day
and going to the poll and even having to wait in line for awhile.

3. That's okay -- they need your vote whenever they get it! If my state wasn't
a write-in only, I'd probably go to the polls too.

6. The Maryland Wave is going to be buh bye to another Ehrlich run at Annapolis.
Maybe this time he'll get the hint.

I drove through that part of Harundale that is bisected by Rt 2. Pretty poor area. Lots of Ehrlich signs. What's up with that?

I think the rule in our state is, the farther you get from D.C. the more republican support.

Maybe Ehrlich will find another state to run in, like Keyes did.
