Uncut video of Rand Paul incident (with audio)
http://www.youtube.com/v/SbnEy_U9pYk

This is like 35 seconds, uncut of what happened... Right after the woman gets her head stomped on, you can hear the only rational person in the crowd say "Whoa, that's enough, come on"

A bit late, but at least 1 person had at least some brain to see what was going on.

2. You know someone posted about being afraid. well
that's OK. They could have stopped her, asked her mission etc and turned her away. It didn't take four big burly men to stop her, throw her to he ground and stomp heavily on her neck and head. That was uncalled for. And I suppose Rand Paul is the type of guy who supports that stuff or he wouldn't have went on fox and blamed the woman.

4. I'm not afraid, I would have kick the shit out of that guy if I was there
of course I would have gotten the shit kicked out of me too but that really pisses me off!

We are going to see fighting and blood in the streets in the not too distant future.

9. Actually
there were 2 people holding/stumping her down. The 3rd person was trying to calm the 2 thugs down. You can hear him saying "come one" when he was stumping her. Anyway, what i cant understand is why Rand Paul is trying to excuse the attack, it was so unnecessary the way they treated her. I guess one thing republicans never do is to apologize

10. After watching this video this is my take on it
The man that pushes her down has been identified according to another post on DU. That post has a link to a blog that has another picture of him at another paul rally. In that picture he is with a woman, I would believe that could be his wife or SO. It has been said by others that a woman also stepped on the victim. I believe the woman in the picture and the video are the same woman. If she stepped on the victim it was unintentional, it looks to me that she was pushing the first man off and then asking him what the hell he was doing. There was a man in a security or police uniform not ten feet away. Why did he not do something??

The man stepping on her did deliberately step on her.

These two men should be arrested and charged with assault and battery. rand paul should come out and condemn the actions of his followers and tell them this not the way that elections are to be. We all know that will not happen for he has already been on fox saying it was just a little jostling.

I condemn this kind of violence, just stating what I see.

12. The audio puts this in a different light.
You can hear the people saying "call the cops".

I'm gonna go ahead and get off the bandwagon.

It looks to me like she tried to break through a security line to get in front of Rand Paul wearing a disguise to present him his mock "award". Not knowing who the hell she was, they tossed her to the ground when they discover she's wearing a wig. One guy steps on her and another guy can be heard telling him to stop. He stops.

One of the inalienable and inarguable traits of the tea party folks is their paranoia. They think the government is out to get them, the liberals are out to get them, the GOP is out to get them...

They think the government did 9-11, they think the CIA killed Kennedy, they think the Jews run our economy...

You charge a line of paranoids wearing a disguise so you can get close to a beloved political candidate, what do you think is gonna happen?

If that was Barack Obama walking there and a reichwinger approached in disguise, unscheduled, and tried to break through security to confront him, what do you think his security would have done?

yeah... the tea party may be walking us toward fascism, but this ain't it.

17. penalty for fourth degree misdemenor is 90 days to 12 months or fine of up to $500
Based on what I've seen, which includes the victim not appearing to be very badly hurt in video interviews shortly after the incident at most he'd get something at the lower half of the maximum penalty; my guess it that if charges are brought, they are plea bargained down to probation and maybe a fine unless he has a prior record. I should add that it may well be that she could produce evidence from a doctor that she was more seriously injured than first appeared, but that video is going to be difficult to overcome with a jury.

Not saying I like this outcome, just pointing out what is likely to happen.
