Well, this time, we know what's coming -- and we know how to fight back. Harry Reid called me with some big breaking news: A leading funder of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has written a multi-million dollar check to a shadowy group run by none other than Karl Rove. Bob Perry, the Texas businessman famous for bankrolling GOP smear attacks,has a new target in his sights, and it's Harry Reid. They've spent more than $4 million in Nevada already - and they could spend as much as $1 million more in the last ten days of the campaign.

In 2004, when GOP smear groups popped up, some people thought, "it won't work," or "people see through the lies." We know something else to be true, and we proved it in 2006 and 2008 and need to do it again in 2010: it doesn't work and Americans will see through the lies - only if we match them dollar for dollar with the truth.
