Complaints Investigated About Poll Watchers
POSTED: Thursday, October 21, 2010
UPDATED: 6:16 pm CDT October 21, 2010

HOUSTON -- Federal monitors have been requested for Houston polling places after complaints of harassment earlier this week.

The county attorney and district attorney are investigating complaints that some poll watchers intimated voters.

At seven early voting sites on Monday, black and Hispanic voters complained that white poll watchers disrupted the voting.

Most of the poll watchers were allegedly trained by a conservative tea party group called the King Street Patriots.

1. Harassment by right wing poll "watchers" is a problem of longstanding.
Now they call themselves Tea Partiers, but it's the same right wing racists it's long been.

2. Voting should be a party
One should not be afraid of voting, it is a responsibility,
a vote is your voice in stating how you want the country
to move forward. It should not be a war.

Every vote should move the country forward. Every one should
have a smile on their face knowing when the votes are counted
the country will be a better place.

3. Houston also had many of it's voting machines burn down
in August... I think something is amiss in Houston.
