At 9.5% unemployment, the party out of power doesn't need a coherent message.

I was clicking back and forth between the ugly Titans/Jaguars game and Rachel's even more pathetic scrambles. Tennessee was winning big. But not every play among more than 100 was going their way. No different in politics. The totality wins, particularly when it's a cycle with an obvious and substantial tilt. The little details are mostly irrelevant.

Rachel always demonstrates a ridiculous lack of comprehension approaching an election. She thought Obama was in trouble late in the '08 cycle. Now she expects the media to ignore the bottom line. The horse race is always the foremost angle and right now the GOP is more than a 45 length (seat) favorite in the House. That's simply reality.

If Obama is a substantial favorite two years from today, that will be the media preoccupation. Funny how this stuff works.

He's just another corporate stenographer for the GE corporation. He has never once in his life broken a story, conducting actual journalism, or has spoken truth to power. People in power, whether in large corporations or on Capitol Hill, tell him exactly what to say, and then he goes on TV and says it. He also appears to be very conservative. It's tough to hide.
