I hate to tell you this...
But the Republicans are outspending Democrats at least ten to one. On every TV and radio channel in MA there are numerous ads bashing Democrats. In fact, campaign ads supporting Democrats are rare and very few voters will wonder why Republicans are so well financed when they hit the polls. I suspect special interests, like big corporations are contributing this money to bring back Bush policies that benefit them. America is in big trouble if Republicans gain a majority in the House and Senate. I believe that Republicans will win by a wide margin in the mid-term elections not only because of these ads but also because of the economy. Democrats in office will be blamed for not fixing things fast enough.

1. Its become interesting, and I'm not sure republicans are going to
do that well. I was looking at some polls, and Democrats are awful close, its basically a toss up in a lot of the individual contests. I am going to be glued to the tv in November because it has become quite exciting.

3. Almost all I talk to are so tired of these ads they're either ignoring
them or using the mute button. We have rubio on down her every 15 minutes. Now that the pubs are pulling their money out of here for him I hope it slows it down. People are already sick of him. That's a good sign.

4. Sounds good
I'm starting to think the republican supposed wave is over-hyped and the Democrats will do better than many think.

5. They could get veto proof majorities in both houses but
the economy isn't going to improve that much by 2012. Especially with republicans controlling congress.

More than ever we need massive injection of federal spending in order to spur the creation of jobs. Preferably public works jobs.

There really isn't any other solution to our current problems in the short term.

6. "GERMANS BOMB PEARL HARBOR!!"..........
or something like that. :) This was expected (at least by me) and not at all a surprise. As another poster said they've got all that world wide capitalist cash on hand to spend on ads. After all, they're obviously not going to spend it on jobs for Americans. I HOPE we've got the people. We'll see in November.

7. I think otherwise
I think pubs will pick up some seats but the pundit's predictions of an "overwhelming tide" are gonna be a big fat bust.

8. I think the corporate funded ads are having the opposite effect.
The GOP may end up losing big time, as many Americans are onto them now.

11. No but the average human can usually see bullshit when it is in
front of their very eyes. We are all media experts having grown up with TVEE and the Internets and can just tell obvious bullshit. Now well crafted bullshit might be a problem, but I doubt any of these adds are even trying to use subterfuge.

10. That may be a good thing.
If the Republican voters think this election is sealed because of the $$ thrown at it, maybe they will stay home.

14. I Disagree, Dems Are Now Starting To Engage In The Air War
There is a point when air saturation isn't enough and I think the Dem attack on the funding sources of these ads can have a significant effect.

When Dems ads begin to compete, will it matter whether you hear an ad five times or ten? Will the difference in the ratio be enough? We'll see. I think the timing is important, and there's a saturation factor where it doesn't make a difference whether you hear an ad ten times or five times, at some point it's enough that your actual message resonates, not how many times you hear it. And while the Dems may be outspent, they have ENOUGH resources to get their message out so everyone hears it ENOUGH times to get through and have the message resonate, despite the fact that the counter message is heard more times.
