A Mason-Dixon poll released Thursday that was commissioned by the Orlando Sentinel/Sun Sentinel and other media outlets found Sink, a former banking executive and current Florida chief financial officer, with a 47-percent to 40-percent lead over Scott, a former health-care CEO and investor from Naples. But Sink's 7-percent lead in the poll is hardly insurmountable – 11 percent of voters remain undecided.
The survey of 625 likely voters, which has a margin for error of plus-or-minus 4 percentage points, found that Sink can credit her advantage to those always-crucial independent voters, among whom she led 44-percent to 37-percent in the survey.
Scott emerged from a blistering GOP primary that saw him use $50 million of his own money to attack Republican Bill McCollum as a "political insider" and deflect accusations that he was complicit while his former hospital company, Columbia/HCA, defrauded the government out of billions of dollars in Medicare fees in the 1990s and was subsequently fined $1.7 billion in penalties.
The GOP is running smear ads against her and they are a joke. She needs to keep up with her "what I'm going to do for FL" type ads and keep on that Scott is running is against Obama. heh
