Maybe it's time for a remake of the Wizard of Oz

Maybe we'll call it the Wizard of Oddities, but the cast is falling in place

Rush plays the fatuous wizard hiding behind his curtains.

Palin plays Dorothy with silver snow shoes, "We're not in Alaska anymore, Toto." Toto played by Karl Rove, of course.

For this version the cowardly lion will become a clueless gopher played by Glenn 'if I only had a clue' Beck. This change is necessitated by the fact that Beck can never believably play anything but a rodent. And he does seem to have that nervous gopher air sniffing for opportunity thing down pretty well.

Boehner can play a copper colored tin man looking for his sun lamp. (He knows where his heart is: with the lobbyists he sold it to.)

Michael Steele, the perfect scare crow.


The wicked witch of the West: Michelle Bachmann. This is called type casting. The comelier witch gets played by Christine O'Donnell.

And lets not forget the Flying Monkeys roles for Gingrich, Gohmert, Jindal et al.

Anyway now we need a script. And some more casting recommendations
