Puritans Win !!!!
from SF Chronicle:

Craigslist finally addressed the biggest question lingering since its controversial adult services category went dark earlier this month when an executive told lawmakers today that the company doesn't intend to restore the section.

Other questions, however, went unanswered, and it remains unclear whether the popular San Francisco-based classifieds website has or can successfully put to rest a corporate crisis that has muddied its image for years.

The company abruptly removed the adult services category in the United States on Sept. 3, amid growing pressure from law enforcement officials and nonprofit groups, who claim that ads in the section promoted prostitution and child trafficking or led to violence against women.

Critics had dubbed the site the "Wal-Mart of online sex trafficking," and attorneys general in 18 states called for the company to take down the section. ..........(more)

4. The claim that Craigslist was a hub for human trafficking is dubious at best.
You can find a few high profile anecdotes, but no reliable evidence of it. More to the point, it was a considerably safer venue for sex workers to advertise than, say, going out and standing on a streetcorner all night. But nobody cares about how many hookers are killed working unsafe streets.

3. They have been winning, hell - you cannot even go out to drink without them telling you where
for your own good - and the left has led the way in it all.

The real puritans are those who say they believe in 'your body, your choice' but are really lying and believe in 'your body, our choice for you because without us you cannot be trusted to make any decisions'
