The Democrats have done a better job keeping the crazies under wraps.
Yesterday I saw this quote:

Bill Lee, a 2008 gubernatorial nominee, said he believes congressional candidate Michele Rollins, who is also facing a tea-party-fueled, insurgent competitor, is in more danger than Castle, but predicted both would prevail.

"Castle wins comfortably, and Rollins wins by the skin of her teeth. I know that's the party line, but I can't believe that a majority of primary voters would knowingly throw away a Senate seat and our only chance to hold the House seat, all in the name of stopping the Obama-Reid-Pelosi agenda," he said.

Well Bill, you're wrong. Castle and Rollins both lost. There is no limit to the self-destructive behavior the crazies that occupy your party are willing to participate in. Conversely, Democrats in recent years "united" to save the country from the demented scourge of far rightism and it worked. Democrats are generally more reasonable putting heavier weight to electability. That's why guys like Dean and Kucinich weren't nominated for the presidency.

Far right extremists will be further emboldened by yesterdays results. They will continue this right into 2012 until Obama is re-elected. Then the meltdown will be complete.

1. You misspelled Kookinich..
Yes, it's so crazy to want to end the drug war, provide health care for everyone and get out of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Utterly fucking insane.

2. Dean and Kucinich are crazy?

That would make FDR and Eisenhower what? Rabid psychopathic space aliens?

As to electability... in all 6 congressional elections where the DLC called the shots, we either lost majorities or maintained minorities. And now comes their seventh try...

3. UNrec.
Progressive voices aren't "crazy", they're NECESSARY.

It's the DLC Free Traitor scum that needs to be put to the back burner.
