Delaware GOP Chairman Threatened

There are some ugly politics going on in Delaware ahead of tomorrow's Republican Senate primary, and it looks like they just got uglier. Delaware GOP chairman Tom Ross was reportedly threatened with a "bullet in the head" for backing moderate Republican Rep. Mike Castle. The Huffington Post's Sam Stein reports:

The chairman of the Delaware Republican Party received a death threat last week over his support for Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del) over Tea Party challenger Christine O'Donnell in the state's upcoming Senate primary, a party official confirmed to the Huffington Post.

The threat, issued in the form of an email, told chairman Tom Ross that he deserves "a bullet in the head" for backing "political ass-kissing RINO's" .

"It is one thing to have your country screwed over by socialists, it is far worse to be backstabbed by people pretending to be your friends," the email read. "We will either rid the GOP of pieces of shit like you, or we will start a new 'Common Sense Conservative' party and render you all useless."

1. Please do render the GOP useless
I encourage a new "Common Sense Conservative" party, it's just what is needed to totally render conservatives useless all over.

4. Tea party logic
If you ain't with us, you are against us and we will "shoot" you! I think things will get a lot worse for republicans as far as things like this coming from the tea party groups. There are a whole lot of crazy people in those groups, and they want do dominate the movement! The right created a monster and now the monster is coming back to destroy them!

other and leave the country & planet for actual human beings.

I see no downside to this trend as long as they limit the violence to themselves.

7. or the GOP manufactured the threat to "show" voters how nutty the teacamp is

Not that teapartiers aren't nutty, but I wouldn't put it past the GOP to do a false flag. They are desperate in this race.

I really wish this news wasn't coming out today. We need a Teaparty win tomorrow.

8. That woman is already nutter than a can of Planter's Mixed Nuts
Castle wins Delaware for one reason only. There are enough moderate democrats and independants that help him win. He is the ONLY republican in Delaware that can do this.

Although I wouldn't take an O'Donnell campaign in the general election very lightly (she's never received more than 35% of the vote even in 2008 when Biden didn't even bother to campaign in the state) it's an uphill battle in November knowing that Coons is very popular here in New Castle county, a state with more than 2 times the number of registered voters over the other 2 counties combined. And we lean very blue up in this part of the state.

10. That whole "majority rules" thing is sooooo overrated
Much quicker and cleaner to just hand the reins of governmental power over to the loudest, most threatening dimbulbs whose answer to everything is the swift and indiscriminate application of lethal violence.

Is this what you want, Republicans? Is this your vision of the United States, popular media? Because right now, these are the folks that you're aiding and abetting with your craven obeisance to the Tea Baggers. If they don't get their way, they will shoot first and ask questions later, if ever. If the warnings of the dirty fucking hippies aren't enough for you, there is the direct evidence of this bunch of nincompoops own words and actions.
