Source: Associated Press

Las Vegas' sixth-longest dry streak has ended - barely - at 137 days.

... It's been a summer of extremes in Las Vegas, where July's average temperature of 96.2 was the hottest since records started being kept in 1935. The July average is usually 90.5.

3. Whew. I was there in August.
109. 105 degrees average for the four days. Still felt better than Ohio heat. At least my clothes didn't stick to me.

And yes, I'm going back next year.

6. Lucky.
83 there would be awesome. It was 83 at 1 AM when I went. With hot wind.

Still, for how much there is to do there, you don't really think about how hot it is.
