Does anyone else miss the sharks?
Oh those halcyon days of 2001. The news all summer was about nothing but SHARK!!!!

In recent years the dominate story, because is there really anything else to talk about?, have been

2008- the election. Okay that is important
2009- groups of properly instructed disruptors interrupted the normal summer townhall meetings to make asses of themselves...but hey nothing like free publicity
2010- the "Ground Zero Mosque" the most contrived bit of hoax bullshit since...well ACORN, beheadings, Shirley Sherrod, etc.

I for one miss the sharks.

1. Big surfing competition at Cocoa Beach this weekend.
Surfers have commented on the "feeding frenzy" taking place in the Atlantic due to the hurricane.

IF it's a slow news weekend OR the media needs a distraction I predict a veritable shark fest in the days ahead.
