I can't believe not one commentator hasn't blown this talking point out of the hole. It's simply not true the surge worked.

I am definitely no expert & I'm not sourcing anything other than memory. The Sunni awakening as it was called was actually brought about by large cash payments to Tribal leaders. They were bribed to help plain & simple.

Is it too much to ask that we not fall in every freaking trap the Republicans lay down?. This one is plain & simply not true .You can have other discussions regarding how the war started etc.. & they are all on our side if you can debate past a 3rd grade level.

But if we can't lay out the actual facts of this one bald ass lie of a talking point-Oy & vey we need to get some more aggressive people speaking for us.I will volunteer gladly...

1. No joke...
I was talking about this today... I am constantly amazed, though I no longer know why, that these stories get reported and huge chunks of facts left out. History, rewritten before our eyes.

2. Iraq is in worse shape now than when we got there
How can this be considered a success??

One can not force people to believe as you do with a gun barrel.
One forces change by example, not by force. The sooner this country comes to that fact,
the sooner we can start getting this country back on track.
