OMG that music!

Why does that sound familiar. Like the Academy Awards music or something?

And the damn videos with the voice overs by Beck. So over the top. The crowd loves this type of stuff though, it seems.

12. Aaron Copland was the very antithesis of everything Glenn Beck stands for.
God, these people are so relentlessly stupid....

3. Reminds me of the beginning of a movie, you know the part that shows the name of the studio or
production company?

Joanne, I've never felt more like puking before in my life (exception is during the 1st trimesters of my pregnancies w/my 2 kids).

14. The FBI investigated Aaron Copland (the composer) as a Communist and he was blacklisted.
http://www.experiencefestival.com/a/Aaron_Copland/id/407205

Having defended the Communist Party USA during the 1936 presidential election, Copland was investigated by the FBI during the red scare of the 1950s. He was blacklisted, and in 1953 his music was pulled from President Eisenhower's inaugural concert due to the political climate. That same year Copland testified before U.S. Congress that he was never a Communist. The accusation outraged many members of the musical community, who claimed Copland's patriotism was clearly displayed through his music. The investigation ceased to be active in 1955 and was closed in 1975. Copland's membership in the party was never proven.

15. Symbolism to the max, once the roots of the piece are explained to the idiots
Goossens had suggested titles such as Fanfare for Soldiers, or sailors or airmen, and he wrote that "it is my idea to make these fanfares stirring and significant contributions to the war effort...." Copland considered several titles including Fanfare for a Solemn Ceremony and Fanfare for Four Freedoms; to Goossens' surprise, however, Copland titled the piece Fanfare for the Common Man. Goossen wrote "Its title is as original as its music, and I think it is so telling that it deserves a special occasion for its performance. If it is agreeable to you, we will premiere it 12 March 1943 at income tax time". Copland's reply was "I am all for honoring the common man at income tax time".
