11. My husband was one of the hardest, most conscientious working people I've ever known.

He hurt his back in a horrible way four years ago. He went every route we could find to get his back repaired, with no luck. Not being able to go back to his job was a heartbreaker for him. He loved his job & was great at it. His former co-workers call him from time to time because they miss him; it took two people to replace him, but they aren't as conscientious as my husband was.

Yes, he's on disability, you poor-excuse-of-a-human-being. He paid dearly for his social security benefits & he is indeed entitled to the money he receives each month, which is only a drop in the bucket compared to what he's worth.

14. I Know What You Feel

When I first had to go on disability there were the usual assortment of clowns who thought it was a free vacation. But they don't wake up every morning with a disability where you can't do what they do;can't go where they go. They have no idea how many times you have to fill out forms to keep telling the state,the government that you are not healed,that you can never be healed. They ask asinine questions like "what do you do on your average day". People living in pain have no average day. The money goes for meds and doctors--not on a cruise. For this idiot to trivialize Medicare,Social Security etc I wish he and his ilk would be forced to live on it for one yearwith no money from other sources and see if it's the merry ride he seems to think it is.
