3. The problem is so so many of their customers are boomer Pukes
and all they care about is getting a deal. Then after their 'ride' with all of their buddies on Sunday, the bike gets parked until next weekend (unless of course the honeydo list overrides their plans).

One of my friends at work rides a '74 AMF Harley, a retired Newark NJ police bike. He rides it every day if there isn't snow on the ground or it's raining when he leaves for work. He replaces the tires every two years because he wears them out. He's replaced the top end on the bike once in the 30 years he's owned it. And when he went to get tires at his dealer recently, and they were closed, forever. Why? because the people in this blue-collar area of NJ can't afford $25,000 Harley's any more. And they are the people who made Harley great, not the fucking weekend warriors who would piss on one of us and drive off if we were stuck and had an Obama sticker on the fender.

Fucking greed, it's what makes America great.

Not.

4. Well, I am not a boomer puke but
I did just buy a new bike...My old one I have had since 96 was just uncomfortable now..hurt my back so I wanted a new one..I bought a new Ultra Classic which is pretty much the top of the line model for $19K...Now it does not have all the chrome and electro gadgets that the weekend riders usually want that is what adds the price...You can get a soft tail custom for around 17 or 18..and any of the Dyna Models for between 12 and 16k depending on the chrome loadout...and the Sporty's are under 10k.

5. I can buy a Nightster for $167 a month with $2000 down for 60 months @ 9.49%
But I don't see the weekend warriors riding Sporty's, they ride chrome living rooms or Honda. The few people who ride during the week on the highways are riding rice. And I see so few Buells around here (my understanding they are hot in the cities) I wonder what will happen to them.

Harley has walked away from their core customer, and now they are asking the workers to make up the difference in profits to satisfy the shareholders, not the customers.

$19,000 for a Classic. Nope. Way too much money.
